Weekly Challenge: Tackle Fears While You Sleep

Sleeping more may reduce anxiety. New research suggests that we can overcome anxieties as we sleep. This small study, published online in the journal Nature Neuroscience, found that fears could be reduced by repeatedly exposing people to a traumatic memory during sleep. However, the truth is that insomnia occurs in the majority of people and the most common reason is fear. Worrying about insomnia only worsens it and will cause the sleeper to lose more sleep.
