Too Little Sleep Linked to Heart Disease Risk

Sleeping for less than six hours a night is a problem linked to poor health. Lack of sleep has been shown to cause high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity. A study undertaken at the Center for Sleep and Circadian Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia sought to evaluate the effects of too little sleep and the risk among racial and ethnic groups of people.
