Super Bowl Champion Derek Kennard Loses 160 Pounds with Sleep Apnoea Treatments
Derek Kennard, a Super Bowl champion, has long struggled with his weight and lack of energy during the day. These, he later on learned, were linked to sleep apnoea. After discovering that he has sleep apnoea, he succumbed to treatment with an oral appliance known as the Herbst Device which was successful. After treatment, he and David Gergen, a dental icon, set out on a national campaign called "Tackle Sleep Apnoea" and have since treated over 160 former professional athletes.
