Study Indicates Sleep Apnoea Common among Truck Drivers

Recently, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration undertook a study to explore why fatigue was highly common among commercial truck drivers. The study found that 5% had severe sleep apnoea while 17% had mild sleep apnoea.  The study found that a big number of truck drivers suffer from sleep apnoea. Sleep apnoea disrupts sleep patterns and is the cause of drowsiness.
