Study Finds Significantly Higher Prevalence of Glaucoma in People with Sleep Apnoea

It seems that glaucoma and sleep apnoea are interrelated. In a recent study from Taiwan, people with sleep apnoea are far more likely to develop glaucoma compared to those without the sleep condition. Conducted by researchers at Taipei Medical University, the retrospective study, "Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and Increased Risk of Glaucoma," used a nationwide, population-based dataset to examine the prevalence and risk of the most common form of glaucoma among patients with the most common form of sleep apnoea.
