Study Finds link Between Sleep Apnoea, TMD

A study has shown sufficient evidence that sleep apnoea is associated with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). A group of researchers at the Chapel Hill School of Dentistry of the University of North Carolina alongside colleagues from three other universities wanted to find out the link between sleep apnoea and TMD. They reported that an individual with two or more symptoms had a 73% risk of first onset TMD.
