Is Sleeping Apart Good for Couples?

Sleeping is a time for rest and relaxation and is an important part of a couple's relationship. Sleeping creates time for bonding between couples and strengthens their companionship. However a survey by the National Sleep Foundation shows that the number of couples who sleep in separate bedrooms is increasing. In fact, it's estimated that 25 percent of U.S. couples don't sleep together. What could be the reasons behind this and what could its effects be?
