Sleep Apnoea Tied To Hearing Loss in Men, Albany Medical Center Reveals

A large study carried out among the Hispanic community has found out that sleep apnoea was independently associated with hearing impairment.  Among the 13,967 study subjects, 9.9% had at least moderate sleep apnoea, 19.0% had high frequency hearing impairment, 1.5% had low frequency hearing impairment, and 8.4% had both high and low frequency hearing impairment.
