With sleep apnoea, those snores can mean trouble

snoringSleep apnoea is common in the population and up to 80% of the people suffering from the condition are unaware of the problem. Sleep apnoea is often punctuated by pauses in breathing. The two types of sleep apnoea are obstructive sleep apnoea and central sleep apnoea.

Untreated sleep apnoea impacts brain health and heart health negatively. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, early treatment will avert risks of dementia, diabetes, cognitive impairment and hypertension.
