child It has been noted that children are suffering from diseases that were previously only associated with adults. The common health problems that are now also affecting children are sleep apnoea, high blood pressure and migraines. This is of real concern and begs the question of whether these problems are genetic.

In children, obstructive sleep apnoea is a big problem since it will lead to sleepiness during the day. OSA is caused by weight problems and enlarged tonsils. Children are also under a lot more stress in modern times. Weight loss and the removal of tonsils are ways used to treat OSA in children.
