Poor Sleep Linked to Work Injuries

New research indicates that lack of sleep is associated with 13 out of 100 injuries at the workplace. Many people have sleep-related problems such as sleep apnoea, restless leg syndrome and insomnia which prevent them from falling asleep, staying asleep and having good quality sleep.

The research shows that a very strong link exists between poor sleep and work injuries. The researchers singled out people with sleep apnoea or those on sleep medication as the most likely to suffer work injuries.
