Poor Sleep Increases Car Accident Risks: Experts

chineseIt is estimated that 38 percent of the Chinese population suffers from sleep disorders, such as insomnia and sleep apnoea compared to a worldwide average of about 27 percent. This is according to the Chinese Sleep Research Society which intends to use the World Sleep Day to call on people to seek medical attention for sleep problems and aim at sleeping enough.

Further studies have shown that many of the Chinese people do actually know they have sleep problems and that poor sleep will place their health at risk. The lack of sleep is a direct cause of traffic accidents according to Han Fang, the president of the research society.
