Overweight Pilots, Controllers Should Take Sleep Apnoea Test

Overweight pilots are said to be at risk for sleep apnoea. Hence the Federal Aviation Administration is examining the issue, and encouraging all overweight pilots and controllers to have testing for their slumber issue. Under the new arrangement, all pilots and controllers will be screened throughout their normal restorative examinations. Specifically those with a figure mass list (BMI) of 40 or more and a neck perimeter of 17 inches might need to be tested for obstructive slumber apnoea.
