Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Ups Risk of Barrett’s Oesophagus

Obstructive sleep apnoea is independently associated with increased risk of Barrett's oesophagus, according to a study published in the April issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In this study, the researchers found out that, compared with those without OSA, individuals with OSA had an 80 percent increased risk for Barrett’s oesophagus.
