Obese South African too fat for NZ

Recently an obese South African man has been told he is too fat to live in New Zealand despite shedding 30 kilograms since he moved to the country six years ago. The man and his wife now face deportation after an application to renew their work visas was rejected because of his weight. New Zealand authorities said that citizens who are obese have a high risk for complications such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and obstructive sleep apnoea.
