New Recommendations to Doctors for Treating Sleep Apnoea
The ACP in its journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, has announced new recommendations to doctors for treating obstructive sleep apnoea. The guidelines lay emphasis on the importance of achieving and maintaining a healthy weight as a way to combat OSA. Secondly, the guidelines recommend CPAP therapy or other airway-opening devices as the best treatment options for the sleep disorder.
