National Geographic Tackles Massive American Sleep Problem

geographicThe iconic National Geographic Channel has partnered with The Public Good Projects and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to raise attention to the science of sleep. The partnership was formed due to the fact that millions of Americans suffer from one sleep disorder or another.

A new program called Sleepless in America will be launched to highlight the sleep loss epidemic and the adverse health consequences of inadequate sleep. The partnerships with NIH, the leading medical research center, will help bring to the fore sleep issues to the public agenda, according to Courteney Monroe, CEO of National Geographic Channels.
