M50 Crash: One Man Rushed To Hospital after Articulated Lorry Crashes
Widespread delays were reported in Dublin after a lorry crashed into a motorway maintenance vehicle. It was reported that the collision between the articulated lorry and the tar truck occurred near the Blanchardstown exit of M50.
The accident occurred after experts warned that people who suffer from obstructive sleep apnoea are seven times more likely to fall asleep when driving. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) at the time of revealing these startling statistics about sleep apnoea and the lack of sleep also reported that fatigue contributes to one in every five accidents on the road. Untreated sleep apnoea will cause sleepiness making driving a dangerous undertaking.
