Leaving the Light on Hampers Sleep Quality: Study

Dr. Seung-Bong Hong, from the Samsung Medical Center of Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea, says that low light interferes with the quality of sleep, often by inducing more light sleep, less of deep sleep, and more micro-arousals during sleep. These are symptoms which are similar to those associated with obstructive sleep apnoea and have adverse effects on the health of individuals.
