How to Stop Snoring: Causes, Cures, and Remedies
Snoring is a common problem and it is indicated that about 45% of adult males and 30% of adult females suffer from the problem. Frequent snoring is often a big health risk if left unchecked. Snoring is a result of obstructed air flow in the nose and throat caused by congested nasal passages, large tonsils, long uvula and long palate, obstructive sleep apnoea, and weak throat and tongue muscles.
Home remedies and behavioral change are some solutions and cures to stop snoring. Some of these are weight loss, throat and tongue exercises, sleeping on the side, avoiding smoking and alcohol, elevating the head during sleep, and treating nasal congestions promptly. Oral devices have proven very effective in treating snoring.
