How Common Is Childhood Sleep Apnoea?
Sleep apnoea in children is usually caused by problems related to the tonsils and adenoids. Other causes of pediatric sleep apnoea that are common across all age groups are obesity, allergies and sinusitis. Children with ADHD are more prone to sleep disordered breathing. Sleep apnoea is most common in children between the ages of two and six years.
