Is Fibromyalgia Syndrome a Myth? No, But It Just Might Be a Sleep Disorder

People with fibromyalgia suffer from widespread chronic pain, poor sleep, chronic fatigue, headaches, poor mood, among other symptoms. A study of the association between fibromyalgia and sleep has found that fibromyalgia is a byproduct of sleep disorders. Sleep disordered breathing was found to cause a tenfold increase in fibromyalgia. Poor sleep quality is believed to affect central nervous system signal filtration.
