FAA Revises Sleep Apnoea Guidance

The FAA in revision of the new draft guidelines is petitioning the aviation medical examiners (AMEs) to review requirements that pilots at risk for obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) to undergo testing and treatment if necessary. It is a change to the earlier guidelines that all pilots with a BMI of 40 or more to undergo testing and potential treatment for OSA.
