Engineer in Metro-North Crash to be Tested for Sleep Apnoea: Report

A recent accident of a Metro-North engineer may be due to his suffering from a sleep disorder that caused him to zone out right before the train derailed. As a result, the engineer will have to undergo an overnight sleep evaluation to determine if he has sleep apnoea, The New York Daily News has reported. He is currently on unpaid leave following the Bronx crash that left four passengers dead and more than 70 others injured, as he slipped into a daze.
