Effect of Sleep Deprivation on Adolescent Neurobehavioral Performance

The study aimed to investigate the effects of one night of sleep deprivation on the neurobehavioral functioning in adolescents. The adolescents were put through a battery of neurobehavioral tests for features such as cognitive processing, sustained attention, fatigue and reaction speed. It concluded that one night of complete sleep deprivation has deleterious effects on subjective sleepiness and neurobehavioral performance.
