Drowsy Driving Causes Fatal Crashes
One of the medical problems drivers need to be aware of is sleep apnoea. This is because sleep apnoea can cause daytime drowsiness. US statistics suggest that 15% to 33% of fatal traffic crashes are caused by drowsy drivers, but there has been little research into the causes. People known as short sleepers are most likely to be drowsy drivers, even when they feel completely rested, a new study shows.
