Does Your Child Have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea?

childMany people would want to know if their children are at risk or are already suffering from obstructive sleep apnoea. It is reported that about 3-5% of children in the United States under the age of 18 suffer from OSA. That figure translates to more than 2 million children having the condition.

According to Dr. Gary Montgomery, children between the ages 2-7 suffer the most from obstructive sleep apnoea owing to infections which make the adenoids and tonsils swell. Obese children are most likely to get OSA. The effects of OSA in children are associated with a number emotional problems and learning problems.
