OSA has been identified as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the relationship between obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and homocysteine (HCY) level. HCY has been recently identified as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and promotes cardiovascular events by inducing endothelial dysfunction and coagulation abnormalities.
