mobile healthThe global healthcare accessory hardware market has been on an astronomic growth especially after Samsung and Apple launched healthcare focused smartphone interfaces. The interfaces are projected to propel the market to $3 billion by 2019.

The greater visibility and availability created by the healthcare smartphone platforms will encourage independent device manufacturers to launch more sophisticated mHealth products. The mHealth products include blood pressure cuffs, oximeters for diabetes and sleep monitors for sleep apnoea. Digital healthcare is encouraging a rethink of how healthcare needs can be addressed and further enhancing the role it can play, especially with the aging populations.
