Sleep disordered breathing (SDB) has some symptoms and signs which are similar to those associated with anxiety and psychiatric illnesses. Sleep disordered breathing may at times cause or exacerbate some psychiatric conditions. It is best to check for SDB symptoms in people in the high risk groups such as menopausal women and in young children.
