The Cardiac Disease and Sleep Apnoea Connection

Sleep is important to the health and well being of an individual in general; this is a well-established fact. One of those benefits is improved cardiac health. The connection between cardiac disease and sleep apnoea (a condition that interrupts sleep by causing pauses in breathing) has been known for a while. The exact reasons for this connection have not been clear until now, as a recently-concluded study has lifted some of the fog over the issues.
