Asthma a Risk Factor for Sleep Apnoea

The results of a longitudinal study have found out that asthma is perhaps a risk factor for the development of obstructive sleep apnoea. The longitudinal study suggested a causal relationship between asthma and sleep apnoea. Obstructive sleep apnoea symptoms are more common in asthma patients and sleep apnoea was 1.72 times more likely to develop after 8 years in asthma patients.
